Crimson Coffee works with single-origin and micro-lot coffees from Philippine farms and from growers further afield — coffee chosen lot by lot, not blended for volume. We began because the distance between the person growing coffee and the person drinking it had become long enough to hide almost everything worth knowing.
Why we started
Philippine coffee is one of the least told stories in specialty coffee. The farms are here, the altitude is here, and the care is here — but the lots rarely leave the province under their own name, and the people who grow them are rarely named at all.
We wanted to buy differently: from farms we name on the bag, over seasons rather than shipments. That was the whole of the idea. Everything since has been the practical work of holding to it.
What we are working toward
Our aim is narrow and we intend to keep it that way: bring exceptional coffee to people who want to know where it came from, and keep nothing hidden along the way.
- Single-origin and micro-lot coffees from Philippine farms and beyond
- Origin, farm, variety, altitude and process listed on every coffee
- Coffee bought from farms we name, not anonymous lots
- Long-term farm relationships, not spot purchasing
None of it is quick, and it is not meant to be. A coffee that has been grown carefully deserves to be bought carefully, roasted carefully and drunk without hurry.
We will keep writing here as the work goes on — new lots, new growers, and the things we get wrong along the way.
Sourced with care, roasted with intent.
